Money has been given a bad wrap. The perception that it causes all sorts of grief and destructionn in the world has made some people unconsciously push money away, even though they need it to survive. What if your unconscious beliefs about money are holding you back from experiencing true abundance?
What relationship are you in with money?
The thing that underlies everything in business is your relationship with money. Think of it as a human relationship – Is there equal give and take? Is it a love-hate scenario? Is there a lack of love? Or are you trying to have multiple relationships at once, having a romance with money while you are living in debt? These relationships plague our society and yet our relationship with money deserves as much attention and love as any other! Would you be in a relationship without love?
Does money deserve your love?
It’s an excellent question. Many people, whether they are money-oriented or not, have a deep-seated rejection of money, simply because of the negative outcomes that have been associated with money since it was created…Wars, destruction and death. All accelerated with the proliferation of money.
Do you reject money?
On this planet at this point in time, if you live in society, money is part of every day life. You may accept this fact, but deep down you may not like it. You see the destruction that it causes, how the money system is completely screwed, and it forces humans to compete with each other. Even though you may not use it in the same way, do you really want to be a part of this?
Why do people reject money?
The quest for money has ‘made’ people do some horrible things for one reason: money can give us a false sense of security. The less love we feel from ourselves and our environments, the more we seek external ‘things’ to fill the void. So unfortunately for money, it became the scapegoat for people’s lack of love, and the juggernaut took over. As a result, at a sub-conscious level, people have associated negative outcomes with money. Yet money has done nothing wrong. AND, on top of that, you know that money can’t buy the things that make us truly happy, like a home-cooked meal, seeing a wild animal or a group of soul-connected friends. So in your heart of hearts, does money really have a place in your life?
Lack of Love Stagnates Money Flow
Here’s where people get stuck:
You can’t feel abundant when you reject money to ANY degree, yet having money won’t make you feel abundant.
(Re-read and it still won’t make sense) The reality is, when you DON’T love money, you limit its availability in your life. You cannot attract abundance if you don’t love abundance in ALL forms that are available to you.
It’s time to forgive money.
Money itself is innocent. We each have the power to have a healthy relationship with it and create positive outcomes. It’s time to separate money from the people who have misused it.
YOU won’t misuse money.
First of all, as a conscious being, it is not possible for you to be irresponsible with your money. It’s the simple things in life that make you happy, and since you are aware of your choices and the impact they have on the world around you, you are already contributing to a better world with each transaction… But to be truly abundant, you have to love money as well.
5 Steps To Creating Abundance
These 5 things are super simple, but when done consistently, they are highly effective in shifting your relationship with money:
1. Love What Money Affords You
Make a list of the top 10 things you would spend your money on if you had an unlimited amount. Go through each one and feel what it would be like to have it right now. Breathe it in and let it grow inside you.
2. Love Your Income AND Your Expenses
When you receive money, say THANK YOU. When you pay a big, say THANK YOU. When you feel the same as you do spending money as you do receiving it, you are well on your way to living abundantly.
3. Love Your Numbers
Get to know the dollar figures that you need to feel abundant. This means how much it costs you to live happily.
4. Love Money Makers
Embrace people who have lots of money, despite how they made it. Love the aspect of them that is open to creating that much abundance. Be grateful for their example.
5. Love The Bigger Impact
Most of all, think BIG. Money can create amazing things in our world today. It has the ability to make things happen. Think about how you can use your money to help others live abundantly, in harmony with themselves and the earth. Focus on the outcomes you can create, and know how much money it will take for you to do it. Ultimately, remember this:
Money itself is irrelevant. It’s how you feel about it, how you acquire it and how you spend it that matters.
Over to you…
How do you feel about money? What happens when you apply the above strategies in your money relationship?
