Is your marketing message true and complete?

It’s taken me a few years of marketing, selling and serving people to really understand the core of my marketing message and how to convey it in a way that is true and complete. In other words, a message that speaks straight to the hearts of my tribe and honours them by giving them the complete picture about the choice they are possibly about to make.

So often we are sold things we don’t need, things that get shelved, which in my opinion is a sure way to tell that you bought something you didn’t need. To me, the most important message to ask when you’re marketing is ’how does this person find out whether they truly need what I am offering?’

So how do we establish genuine need through our marketing, doing our best to ensure that what we offer is a true fit for each person that buys?

This is where your ‘point of view’ really comes into its own in terms of your marketing, it helps people clearly see where you stand and make an truly informed buying decision. And this week’s guest is an expert at what he calls ‘Point of View Marketing’, which is the most powerful, impactful and integral marketing approach I’ve seen.

Tad Hargrave has crafted a way to articulate your point of view to offer a more true and complete picture of the solutions you offer. Tad talks about his Point of View marketing approach and how it really gets to the heart of what you are offering and how you connect with your tribe:

Have you been taught to seek ‘financial freedom’?

I know I have. I have bought into society’s many beliefs and proven ways to make money in this world, and it hasn’t always served me.

I started out in business following the hype and the formulas that supposedly led to financial freedom. I soon realised that I didn’t feel free at all, in fact, I felt pressured and disconnected from myself. All in the name of the quest for ‘financial freedom’ or, in other words, ‘freedom through security’.

But does that really exist?

When it comes to the circulation of money on this planet, there is a much greater force that cannot be seen or understood. And, if we are constantly searching for security and certainty, we can never truly be free. This week in the Sacred Money Series, I spoke with someone who has seen the light of ‘conditioned’ business.

Karen McMullen created a 6-figure business and was living the lifestyle of her dreams (apparently), when she had a wake up call and chose a radically different path. She has invaluable wisdom to share about what brought her to a new understanding of ‘financial freedom’ including:

How will your business grow?

Lately I’ve had to seriously think about where Sacred Business will be in the next 5 to 10 years and how the choices I make now will lead me there. What kind of choices really matter right now? The answer in my gut is ‘relationships’.

It’s the people we help and the people who help us, who ultimately become part of our vision coming to fruition. Relationships thrive on the meaningful contributions we make to each other, how we change each others lives for the better. This is how we build a conscious business, a gift to our planet that lives on after we are gone.

To me, relationships are our currency. And it’s a tricky one because we live in a world where technology is growing faster than humans can handle. In the Sacred Money Series this week, it was a relief to meet someone in the business of creating software who has the importance of people and organic growth in perspective.

Lars Helgeson is the CEO and founder of Greenrope, a software company built on organic growth and long-term relationships. He offers his experience of building a 100% virtual organisation from the ground up including:

Are you questioning how you create your livelihood?

I’ve been on quite a ride since I started Sacred Business, I’ve been exploring different business models, pricing approaches, work-life balance and marketing strategies. Why? Because I look around and see many people working in jobs just for the money, others not making enough money doing what they love, or not doing their soul’s work at all, and I can’t help but ask ‘there must be a better way?’

There are no answers yet, only lots of experimentation and challenging the status quo. And there are pockets of people leading the change in terms of how we make a living. This week’s interviewee in the Sacred Money Series is one of those leaders…

Tomar Levine is an artist-turned-coach for spiritual entrepreneurs, especially those who opening up to their calling in the second half of life. She inspires us with her curious mind and astute insights to think of new ways of creating a livelihood:
